Ronan Murray set to sign for Dundalk FC

Ronan Murray, who has been named in the PFAI team of the year for this season is set to sign for Dundalk for the upcoming season.

Murray who played with Galway United all of last season after coming back from the UK is set to sign for Stephen Kenny’s side after discussions with the club.

The Mayo man has offers from Dundalk & Sligo Rovers but apparently Murray’s preferred destination is Oriel Park.

Cork City seemingly have put in late interest for the striker.

With 13 League goals last season Murray could be a shrewd bit of business & a ready made replacement for Patrick McEleney who is expected to leave Dundalk for a club in the UK.

A deal is expected to be announced soon.

  1. A real coup for any club. With Maguire gone and McMillan apparently going to Scotland this guy could well be the league’s top scorer next year if at cork or Dundalk
