St Johnstone & Dundee United interested in Dundalk’s McMillan and Benson

As reported in today’s Irish Sun Scottish sides St Johnstone and Dundee United are interested in recruiting Dundalk striker David McMillan.

The Perth club also are interested in capturing the signature of Dundalk midfielder Robbie Benson also.

Both players are out of contract at the end of the season and will be able to sign with any club for no fee which is a huge plus for potential buyers.

McMillan has proved himself in the League of Ireland with 51 league goals in 116 appearances for Dundalk along with becoming the League of Ireland’s top scorer in the Champions League.

Benson has also proved himself in Europe with goals against Legia Warsaw, Bate Borisov & Zenit.

  1. Can’t see either of them being lured away to Dundee United or St Johnstone. They’re both qualified professionals in their chosen field. McMillan is an Architect and Benson I think is an accountant. So they’ll be well settled here and being paid well by Dundalk too. As a Rovers fan I’d love to see them gone but I don’t reckon it’ll happen .
