Former Derry City player Niall McGinn has left his current side Aberdeen after being released at the end of the season and has joined Gwangju in South Korea.
McGinn will become the first Irishman to play his football in South Korea.
Gwangju are currently 12th in the K League and their stadium will be a big step up from The Brandywell or The Pittodrie Stadium as Gwangju’s stadium holds 40,245.
McGinn featured 31 times for Derry City under Stephen Kenny in the 2008/2009 season scoring 6 times and also won the League Cup with the Candy Stripes.
