Graham Gartland named as new Dundee assistant

Graham Gartland has left his role with Shamrock Rovers academy and it has been announced that the Dubliner will now become assistant manager to Neil McCann at Dundee.

Gartland featured in his career for Drogheda United, Shamrock Rovers, St Pat’s, Longford Town, Shelbourne and had a four year spell at Scottish side St Johnstone.

On the appointment of Gartland as his new assistant, Neil McCann told the Dundee website: “I’m delighted to have Graham on board. He is someone I have known for a number of years and will be a great addition to club.”

“He knows Scottish football, has sound opinions on the game, but most importantly, he is a man who shares the same values and principles that I aim to instil into the team.”
