Ian Baraclough is set to be named as the new Northern Ireland u21’s manager

Former Sligo Rovers boss Ian Baraclough is set to be named the Northern Ireland u21’s manager in the next few days.

According to a report in The Times, the current Oldham assistant manager was interviewed by current Northern Ireland boss Michael O’Neill for the role.

The Leicester man led Sligo Rovers to a League title, FAI Cup & Setanta Cup in his two year spell.

He also led Motherwell to safety in a relegation / promotion play off with Rangers in 2015 in the Scottish league.

Current boss Jim Magilton is set to return to his development role.
