Daryl Horgan scores first goal for Preston North End

Former Dundalk man Daryl Horgan has opened his goal scoring account with Championship side Preston North End in the clubs 4-1 victory over Brentford yesterday.

It was very Horgan-esque as he took the ball in the middle of the park and pushed forward with pace beating players and then slipping the ball past the keeper.

Preston manager Simon Grayson said that he was about to take the Galway man off just before his goal, “We were just looking to take Daryl off, because he looked like he was starting to look a little fatigued, but he kept going and took it early and didn’t allow the keeper to get set and it was nice to nestle in the bottom corner.”
