Finn Harps have been drawn at home to Cork for the first game in their 2017 season.
Last season when the two teams came face to face; Cork were victorious in all 3 ties however the winning margin never surpassed 2 goals which was a positive for Harps being able to compete with one of the best teams in the country.
Ollie Horgan’s team are then on the road to the Carlisle Ground to face a bray side who have strengthened adding Keith Buckley to their squad.
The first Northwest Derby of the year will take place on Friday the 14th of April with Harps away to Derry but some fans will argue that this indeed is a home game for harps should it take place at Maginn Park in Buncrana.
Undoubtedly the toughest month on the calendar will be June and see the Ballybofey side face Sligo, Shamrock Rovers, Dundalk and Derry respectively.
Like last year the Gypsies will be the opponents for the closing game of the season in a game which hopefully won’t decide our league status for 2018.
