Former Ireland International Damien Duff will join the Shamrock Rovers back room team in a coaching capacity for the first team until the end of the season.
Duff had to retire at the end of last season at Shamrock Rovers due to injuries but had been coaching at Rovers at Youth level.
Speaking to The Sun about the appointment, Rovers boss Stephen Bradley had this to say, “Damien has been in with us the last few weeks.
“He’s in coaching with myself, Stephen McPhail and Glenn Cronin, so it’s a good mix.
“I’ve obviously known Damien since he came in as a player.
He’s with the youths so I kept in contact with him and I just like his ideas on the game, he’s been great.
“Damien would have very high standards, he’d call it as he sees it.
“It’s good to have that, it’s good to bounce off what he did in his own clubs and what we can implement in our training.”
