Ireland have just taken the lead in our European Championship tie with Sweden through former Shelbourne player Wes Hoolahan and assisted by former Sligo Rovers player Seamus Coleman.
This shows the quality that our league can produce.
Could this tournament give our league better recognition in Europe?
No is the answer, unfortunately.
we need to have more interaction with foreign clubs/competitions. this would increase player values and give great experience. joining in the JP Trophy would be an ideal step forward but unrealistic to expect FAI to be that forward thinking!
