Ex Irish International Stephen Hunt will be meeting Wexford Youths boss Shane Keegan next week to discuss the possibility of getting involved with the club whether it be in a playing / coaching capacity.
Hunt has been released from current club Coventry City only last week and will become a free agent.
Speaking to LeagueofIreland.ie about the situation Keegan said: “Stephen has been over with us the last few summers and has been a fantastic person to have around and lift the place, he is a thorough professional & has also coached parts of training sessions as he is currently involved in getting his Uefa coaching badges”
“We will sit down and have a chat when he is over next week, but of course I would love to have him involved but nothing is confirmed as of yet”
Hunt has 39 caps for the Republic of Ireland and at 34 will bring massive experience to a young side in Wexford Youths.
The Waterford man could be the difference between Keegan’s men staying up as the critical games towards the end of the season his experience will be vitally important to the younger players.
